Several UNT faculty and alums attended the International Association of School Librarians conference in Abano Terme, Italy September 1-4. They were actively involved in all aspects of the conference, making presentations and participating in the governance of the organization.
The exciting news is UNT will host this conference Summer 2012! Planning has already begun for an exciting program bringing library leaders from around the world for a Texas experience in Fort Worth. The UNT exhibit included Katy Manck and Robert Martin (UNT alums); Janet Hilbun and Barbara Martin (faculty); and Luca Cognolato (a well known Italian children's author). His books have been translated into other languages: we hope English translations will be complete by 2012 so we can include this delightful personality in our program. Also attending the conference was Barbara Schultz-Jones.
